Joseph S. Pappalardo, Jr. is a strategic real estate executive, licensed attorney, and visionary leader shaping the future of real estate and construction across Louisiana and the Gulf South. As President of Rampart/Wurth Holding Inc., Joe Jr. leads a group of companies including NAI Rampart Commercial Real Estate, Wurth Real Estate Services, Rampart Property Management, Wurth Insurance Services, and Wurth+.
In his role as Sponsoring Broker, Joe Jr. oversees licensees across six states—Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia—ensuring regulatory compliance and consistency across the firm’s expanding regional footprint. Under his leadership, Rampart/Wurth has grown significantly, adding a commercial brokerage division (NAI Rampart), a residential brokerage division (Wurth Real Estate Services), a construction arm (Wurth+), and an insurance services division (Wurth Insurance Services) —where Joe Jr. applies his expertise as a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Producer to create added value for clients.
A lifelong learner and industry authority, Joe Jr. is among a select group of professionals worldwide to hold all major designations from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM): CPM, Executive CPM, ARM, and ACoM. He also holds the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation as well as the Certified Green Property Manager (CGPM) designation, demonstrating both his expertise in financial and market analysis and reflecting his commitment to sustainable, energy-conscious real estate practices.
Additionally, he holds a J.D. and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar, with legal experience spanning real estate, civil, corporate, and commercial litigation. He is licensed to practice before multiple U.S. District Courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit—experience that gives him a competitive edge in navigating complex transactions and regulatory matters.
Joe Jr.’s leadership has been recognized in both the business and public sectors. In 2020, he was appointed by Governor John Bel Edwards to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission (LREC), becoming one of the youngest commissioners ever confirmed by the Louisiana Senate. He currently serves as Chairman for 2025, following his tenure as Vice Chairman in 2023, continuing to advocate for high standards and consumer protections across the industry. Additionally, he is an active civic leader, serving on numerous nonprofit and industry boards. His contributions have also earned him multi-year recognition from New Orleans CityBusiness in its “Excellence in Construction & Real Estate” and “Excellence in Law” awards, and most recently as a New Orleans CityBusiness ICON Honoree, Class of 2025, celebrating his enduring leadership and impact across the region’s business community.
